The InterSEED Project

In 2004 the Darwin Centre for Biology and Medicine and the Institute of Technology Carlow Ireland decided they wanted to help increase knowledge of science and technology. They asked the Darwin Science Festival in Pembrokeshire to help and Inter-SEED was born.

Funding from the Welsh European Funding Office, under the Interreg IIIA Programme helps to link the two countries in the name of science.

InterSEED aims to:

increase science and technology skills

increase enrolment to science and technology degree courses

improve the quality of post-graduate research.

Darwin Science will help to do this by:

Exciting and enthusing pupils, communities, individuals, entrepreneurs and more.

Planting SEEDS of curiousity in their minds, urging questions to be asked and answers to be sought.
