Pembrokeshire Fish Week

 

22nd June - An exciting all-day event open to the public!

Find fossils, learn about ice ages and sea level rise with geologist Sid Howells. Go rock pooling with Phil Wensley, from Dale Fort Field Centre, we'll be looking out for lobsters and lots of prawns. Learn how to protect the environment and get involved with a Keep Wales Tidy beach clean.

24th June - Open to a local school

A local school with have the opportunity to explore the shore line with Phil Wensley, understand the cliffs and rocks with Sid Howells and learn how to look after and protect our coastal environment with Mari Williams.

Transport required from Stackpole Quay to Stackpole Centre.

11:15 - 12:15 Beach clean at Barafundle with Mari Williams - Keep Wales Tidy)
12:15 - 13:00 Lunch on the beach
13:20 - 14:20 Fossil Hunting with with Sid Howells - Geologist)
14:20 -14:30 Break
14:30 -15:30 Rocky shore hunt with Phil Wensley - Dale Fort FSC
15:30 - 15:45 Travel to Centre

15:45 - 17:00
Workshop activity on the days events
A representative from the National Trust's Stackpole Centre will be present for the whole afternoon. If it rains we'll get wet - so be prepared :-D
