Fishweek 2009
The open day stall was a great success and people flocked to see our strange sea creatures. Sea squirts had grown on a piece of marine board and we brought them in a large aquarium tank. We also had microscopes for people to look closely at strange insects.

Overlooking West DaleSid Howells, Geologist and Richard Joseph, Marine Taxonomist, joined us for a fabulous day in Dale. Walking over to West Dale we looked at the geology of the area and how the ritec fault had such an impact on Pembrokeshire. Seine netting at the Gann

In the afternoon we headed up the to the Gann and put out a seine net, we were all impressed with the number of crabs and flat fish we found.

Sid Howells, Geologist and Phil Wensley, Marine Taxonomist, helped to create a fun and fascinating day of coastal activities. The group were taken to look for fossils and evidence of a prehistoric climate different to our own, a surprising amount of fossils were found. A rockpooling session proved exciting with lots of different animals hiding in the rockpools on Barafundel beach.Sid Howells pointing out fossils
